Freelance Designer
I am a Cincinnati, OH-based freelance graphic and web designer, visualizer, painter, writer and wordsmith. Past and current creations are everything from logos, booklets, prospectuses, business cards, advertisements and websites to simple social media plugs and continued consistency with already-established branding. My heart leans toward small, start-up businesses, schools, non-profit and community organizations. I am passionate about education, photography, travel, classical art, outdoor wonders, fitness and nutrition.
My career started in pre-press production and print, but now I help develop a concept into a visual, tangible brand accompanied by an easily navigable and beautiful website.
A few of my strengths:
- Turning an idea into rendered artwork
- Taking written information and connecting it with stunning visuals
- Converting content-heavy dialog into simple, concise text to clearly convey the message
- Bringing the many pieces and facets of a Client's services offered into neat, organized categories that are easily found and understood
Official Bio
As a freelance Graphic and Web Designer, Kiera brings a wealth of creativity, experience, fresh ideas, and innovation to each project. Kiera has worked as a full-time and part-time graphic and web designer while running a little jewelry boutique in Colorado, teaching group fitness, working in her children’s school and raising three amazing humans. She has enjoyed her two communities (CO & OH) and has spent time on the boards of a few non-profits helping to develop mission, vision, policies, board development, strategic planning, fundraising, grant writing, and annual budget review.
Kiera is a graduate of the College of Art Advertising. Outside of her own freelance business, she has worked alongside her sister-from-another-mister, Kara Brittain of B4 Studio, to plan and implement marketing strategies and production of many small business print and digital needs in the San Luis Valley and Creede, CO. She now resides in Cincinnati, OH and has enjoyed working with a handful of local small businesses and non-profit organizations in the greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky areas. She also serves as a trustee and communications manager of her neighborhood community association.
Kiera holds certifications in yoga, group fitness, senior fitness, sport nutrition, POUND and Generation POUND. She is currently in a year-long formation training program for Catechesis of the Good Shepherd - a Montessori based approach to a child’s spiritual formation.
For fun she likes to explore outdoor beauty and small historic towns, read and discuss amazing, timeless literature with friends, teach fitness classes, sing in her church choir, make delicious food with her family, ride her bike and keep her husband on his toes. If she could live anywhere in the world, it would be anywhere in the world as long as it is rural and a little wild.
